LSU Baseball: 2024 SEC schedule released

LSU Baseball are preparing to defend their national title in 2024. As such, we now know the Tigers’ path through the SEC next season.
On Wednesday, the SEC released the 2024 baseball schedules for all 14 member universities including LSU Baseball. A press release from conference headquarters articulated the conference slate and some changes to in-season series and the SEC tournament.
"“The 2024 SEC baseball regular season will be comprised of four weeks of non-conference play followed by 10 weeks of conference series. The first weekend of SEC series is March 15-17, and the regular season concludes May 16-18. The schedule is subject to change for television, including the move of some conference series to begin on Thursdays.The SEC Tournament is scheduled for May 21-26 at the Hoover Met.A record-tying 10 SEC teams earned NCAA Tournament bids in 2023 with a nation-leading three teams in the College World Series. LSU claimed the SEC’s ninth national title in 14 seasons.”"
LSU Baseball will begin conference play with a series at Mississippi State on March 15-17. The Tigers will then welcome Florida to Baton Rouge on March 22-24.
LSU’s first Thursday-Saturday series is at Arkansas on March 28-31.

- March 15-17: LSU at. Miss State
- March 22-24: Florida at LSU
- March 28-31: LSU at Arkansas
- April 5-7: Vanderbilt at LSU
- April 12-14: LSU at Tennessee
- April 19-21: LSU at Missouri
- April 26-28: Auburn at LSU
- May 3-5: Texas A&M at LSU
- May 10-12: LSU at Alabama
- May 16-18: Ole Miss at LSU
The LSU Baseball season begins with a game against the Virginia Military Institute in Baton Rouge on Friday, February 16. The Tigers will play exhibition games vs. McNeese State and UL-Lafayette before then.
Other than the SEC schedule, we’re intrigued by LSU’s games vs. Rice on February 28 and vs. Texas on March 1 at Houston’s Minute Maid Park.
LSU won their seventh men’s college baseball national championship in 2023. They’ll look to make it eight in 2024 with a roster that looks slightly different after superstars Dylan Crews and Paul Skenes moved on to professional baseball.
