As the College Baseball season approaches, the LSU Baseball team is having an award filled preseason. The Tigers were named the 2nd Ranked team by Perfect Game USA, LSU's Freshman Class was named the best in the Country, 5 Sophomores were named Top-100 in their class, and 5 Juniors were named Top-100 Players in their class. The latest honors for LSU comes as Perfect Game releases its Conference Preview with three LSU Tigers earning All Conference Honors.

Jared Bear Jones finally gets some recognition this offseason as Perfect Game names him the Preseason All Conference First Baseman. Last Season, Jones had a .301 average with 28 Home Runs and 59 RBIs. Jones will needed to take a step forward but, he's one of the best Power Hitters in the Country and a great defender at first base.

Daniel Dickinson comes to LSU via Utah Valley University and makes the Preseason All Conference team at second base. Dickinson is coming off of a season where he hit .363 with 18 home runs and 53 RBIs. Dickinson will get on base often but, he also brings some pop to the top of the lineup as an impact piece from day one.

Starting Pitcher Anthony Eyanson transfers into LSU and instantly cracks the Preseason All Conference team. Eyanson comes to LSU from UC San Diego after pitching 82 innings to a 3.07 ERA striking out 85 while walking just 24 batters. Anthony Eyanson will be a top of the rotation arm for Jay Johnson and his ability to throw strikes will be welcomed in the rotation if the defense plays well behind him.

Derek Curiel didn't make the All Conference team but, he did pick up an honor as Perfect Game named him the Preseason Freshman of the Year. Curiel is a potential top half of the lineup hitter while his defense in the outfield can make him an instant starter as a True Freshman.
