The LSU Football team is looking to carry it's red hot surge on the recruiting trail from the spring into the summer recruiting window. The Tigers already kicked off the month of May with a massive recruiting win in the transfer portal beating out Miami for elite safety AJ Haulcy while the Tigers oicked up a crystal ball prediction to land 5-star offensive lineman Darius Gray.
The news regarding Darius Gray was massive for the LSU Football program as the Tigers look to build out this recruiting class. Along with Darius Gray, the LSU Football team has been making another serious push for an offensive lineman in tackle Immanuel Iheanacho. The Tigers hosted the 5-star on an unofficial visit this spring and will host him on an official visit this Summer. While LSU plans to host Iheanacho on an official visit, the Tigers may not have the chance to get that visit.
On3's Steve Wiltfong predicts Immanuel Iheanacho will land at Oregon

The news comes on the heels of the Nation's top recruit and top ranked offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell committing to Miami which had a massive effect on the recruitments of the rest of the offensive linemen in this class. Oregon made a strong push for Cantwell and the Ducks now appear to be all in on Immanuel Iheanacho.
On3's Industry Recruiting Rankings tab Iheanacho as the 2nd best player in the Country, the 2nd ranked offensive tackle in the class, and the top player out of Maryland, making him one of the most sought after recruits in the Country.
While seeing Iheanacho predicted to land at Oregon isn't ideal for LSU's chances at landing the 5-star, it also doesn't mean that this recruitment is over. The Tigers have made their push as of late and at one point in time may not have gotten an official visit which speaks to the surge the Tigers are making. While the Ducks may lead at the moment, LSU will have a chance to roll out the red carpet to win big when Iheanacho does commit.
