Aaron Anderson puts the final touch on a breakout season with a 100-yard kick return
The LSU Tigers are currently tied with the Oklahoma Sooners at 17 a piece in the Tigers regular season finale. This game has already been an injury filled game for the Tigers as Garrett Nussmeier left the game with a shoulder injury. Adding onto the injuries, LSU lost its typical kick returner Zavion Thomas to an injury as he got banged up on a kick return earlier in the game.
Garrett Nussmeier was set to return to the game after getting his shoulder looked at by the trainers. After Oklahoma scored, LSU had to receive the kickoff without Zavion Thomas and with Thomas sidelined, the Sooners kicked the ball to Aaron Anderson.
The Sooners quickly learned the hard way that Anderson is the most explosive player on this team as he returned the kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown giving LSU the lead right back.
All of the credit can't go to Aaron Anderson as the Tigers return team did an excellant job blocking the Sooners kickoff team.
At the start of the season, Aaron Anderson was a rotational receiver for LSU until injuries to Chris Hilton Jr and Kyle Parker. Once Anderson got his chance at starting he never looked back and has been one of the most important pieces for this team.
Heading into next season, Aaron Anderson looks like one of the most vital pieces for this offense and will be the leading returning wide receiver. While this season has been Aaron Anderson's breakout season, he's going to explode next season due to his experience and his chemistry with Garrett Nussmeier.
