We're currently in the final stretch of the transfer portal as the only windows opening are for five days after teams conclude their Bowl Games. For LSU, only a few needs remain as LSU looks for transfer safeties, cornerback, and potentially on the offensive line. The Tigers are taking care of the need at defensive back this week as they'll host transfers Keionte Scott and Tamarcus Cooley during the week.

The position that is more up in the air for LSU is on the offensive line which was seemingly a massive need entering the transfer cycle as LSU loses four of five starters heading into next season. The Tigers already landed Braelin Moore and Josh Thompson who will likely play on the interior of the offensive line.

The one reason that may cause the coaching staff to pause on adding transfers is the offensive line's performance in the Texas Bowl. LSU's offensive line played great in the passing game keeping Garrett Nussmeier from being sacked while opening up some massive holes in the rushing attack.

On the other hand, the Tigers don't return a ton of experience at offensive tackle heading into 2025. If LSU is looking to add a player with SEC Experience, Alabama's Elijah Pritchett could be a name to keep an eye on.

Pritchett is a former five-star recruit and over the last two seasons has played a pretty significant role on Alabama's offensive line. There are a few reasons LSU may choose not to pursue Pritchett or any other offensive linemen.

On one hand, adding any offensive linemen may lead to LSU losing a piece they'd rather have long term as it could block a solid player from seeing the field. Pritchett also struggled this season allowing 31 pressures this season while the next closest player on Alabama's line allowed 13.

We'll have to see if LSU reaches out to Pritchett or any other offensive linemen as it has been quiet on that front following the Bowl Game.
