The LSU Baseball team kicked off their run in the NCAA Tournament on Friday a little later than expected as weather delays kept pushing the game back. When the Tigers were finally able to take the field, Jay Johnson went with Anthony Eyanson rather than his typical Friday starter Kade Anderson.
After Anthony Eyanson turned in a scoreless first inning, the LSU offense got to work quickly taking an early lead. Derek Curiel led off the inning with a single up the middle, advancing to second base on a wild pitch. Jake Brown came through for the Tigers with two outs driving in Derek Curiel on a single to right field.

As the LSU Baseball team looked to tack on insurance runs, this game became the Daniel Dickinson Show in the 5th inning as Dickinson blasted LSU's first home run of the NCAA Tournament to left field giving LSU a 3-0 lead.

The Tigers would then put this game out of reach as the offense put together their best inning in the 6th. Chris Stanfield walked and Derek Curiel made the Trojans pay with a double off the wall scoring Stanfield from first. Daniel Dickinson then struck again hitting a 2 run blast to the same exact spot in Left to make it 6-0 LSU.

While LSU's offense put together a great showing at the plate, the Tigers didn't need a massive night to win this game. Anthony Eyanson continued to look like one of the best pitchers in the Country giving the Tigers 7.2 scoreless innings allowing just 5 hits and a walk while striking out 7. The recipe for the Tigers this tournament is clear with two aces in Kade Anderson and Anthony Eyanson who continue to carve up opposing hitters.
Jay Johnson would turn to DJ Primeaux and Mavrick Rizy to record the final 4 outs and the duo picked up right where Eyanson left off carving up Little Rock's offense.
The concern for the Tigers coming into this Tournament was the offense as LSU has had some struggles the last few games. The Tigers offense answered the call in this matchup as every starter reached base with 8 of the 9 starters recording a hit.
The top of LSU's order stepped up as Derek Curiel, Jared Jones, Jake Brown, and Daniel Dickinson combined for 7 hits, a walk, and 6 RBIs punishing Little Rock any time the group stepped to the plate.
