The LSU Tigers enter Week 7 looking to bounce back after falling short against Ole Miss. The Tigers enter Saturday's matchup against South Carolina favored by more than a touchdown, but Brian Kelly needs to have his team on high alert against the Gamecocks. South Carolina has had its fair share of struggles this season, but LSU can't afford to overlook Shane Beamer's team.

South Carolina has one of the worst offenses in the SEC, and their defensive rankings don't exactly jump off the page. But "Beamer Ball" is alive and well in Columbia, as the Gamecocks have found ways to get into the end zone in somewhat unconventional ways. In fact, South Carolina leads the country with six non-offensive touchdowns through five games this season.

The Gamecocks relied on a special teams touchdown to beat Virginia Tech in the season opener, as Vicari Swain housed an 80-yard punt return for a touchdown in the 4th quarter. Swain then had two kick returns for touchdowns the following week against South Carolina State. He is South Carolina's most dangerous playmaker that can make a big play every time he touches the ball. LSU has done a good job of preventing big plays in the special teams game this season, and that is something that needs to continue on Saturday night.

Along with Swain's three special teams touchdowns, South Carolina also has a trio of defensive touchdowns which includes a pick-six and two fumble recoveries returned for touchdowns. Taking care of the ball and winning the turnover battle will also play a key role in LSU's path to victory in this matchup.

LSU has to be vigilant and on the lookout for anything on Saturday night. The Tigers can't afford to take a single play off. Just when their opponents start to fall asleep is when South Carolina can be its most dangerous. Looking to get back into the win column, not letting South Carolina play "Beamer Ball" will do wonders for the Tigers.
