Recruiting Rankings aren't an exact science and given the varying talent around the Country its impossible to nail every recruits respective ranking. Add in the fact that recruits are studied from before they are even Freshmen in High School and the rankings have to constantly shift. On Monday, On3 released its latest On300 ranking the top 300 recruits in the 2026 recruiting class.
Among the biggest risers in On3's updated rankings was LSU Commit Kenny Darby who took a massive leap into the Top 300.

Prior to the rankings, Kenny Darby wasn't ranked among the Top 300 recruits but, was ranked the 50th wide receiver in the class and the 8th ranked player out of Louisiana. In the updated rankings, Kenny Darby is the 181st ranked player in the class, the 23rd ranked wide receiver, and the 7th ranked player out of Louisiana which is an incredible leap.
After catching 35 passes for 561 yards and 9 touchdowns in 2023, Darby took his game to a whole new level catching 100 passes for 1,764 yards and 24 touchdowns leading the State in receiving. Along with Darby, LSU holds a commitment from In-State wide receiver Jakai Anderson who jumped from the 299th ranked player in the class to the 187th ranked player another massive leap.
Darby's bump as well as the improved rankings for other LSU commits helped the Tigers climb to the Nation's 3rd ranked recruiting class while overtaking Texas A&M for the SEC's top recruiting class.
Nick Saban has said it best when it comes to the wide receiver talent that Louisiana produces every season.
"LSU always has skill guys. They’re talking about all the receivers they lost. You could shake a tree in Louisiana and them guys would fall out."Nick Saban
The Tigers have an elite wide receiver duo in this recruiting class and the push for elite talent won't stop with Darby and Anderson. The Tigers are set to host Boobie Feaster, Tristen Keys, and In-State Jabari Mack on visits in the coming months as Wide Receiver U looks to load up for the future.
