Georgia Bulldogs:
Addition: Zachariah Branch - Wide Receiver - USC
This entire season one of the biggest issues that plagued Georgia was drops by their wide receivers. After losing Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey to the NFL, Georgia didn't have that game breaking player on the offensive side of the football. In landing Zachariah Branch, the Georgia Bulldogs now have one of those threats again which will help out Gunner Stockton in his first year as a starter.
Loss: Julian Humphrey - Cornerback - Texas A&M
This season, Julian Humphrey started off the year as one of Georgia's top cornerbacks before he fell out of favor. Georgia replaces defensive talent with relative ease but, if Daylen Everette declares for the NFL Draft Humphrey would be a nice piece to have as an experienced defensive back with starting experience.
Kentucky Wildcats:
Addition - Zach Calzada - Quarterback - Incarnate World
The Wildcats will once again go the route of starting a transfer quarterback for a year as Kentucky brings in Zach Calzada. After spending time at Texas A&M and Auburn, Calzada spent a season at Incarnate World where he had a great season passing for 3,744 yards and 35 touchdowns with just 9 interceptions. Given that he comes with SEC experience, Calzada could help Kentucky in bouncing back from an awful season.
Loss: Barion Brown and Dane Key - Wide Receivers - LSU and Nebraska
The Wildcats had struggled all season long on offense and those struggles will only continue after losing two top end wide receivers in Barion Brown and Dane Key. Brown had a down year but, he's a player that can help any team running the football, as a receiver, and as a returner and will be a massive loss for the Wildcats. Dane Key led the team in receiving with 715 yards and 2 touchdowns and will be missed as Kentucky revamps its offense.
LSU Tigers:
Addition: Patrick Payton - Edge Rusher - Florida State
The LSU Football team loses its two top edge rushers in Bradyn Swinson and Sai'Vion Jones who combined for 13 sacks this season and Da'Shawn Womack who was slated to slide into the role next season. The Tigers added two edge rushers in Jimari Butler and Jack Pyburn but, neither has had the success rushing the passer that Patrick Payton has had. Over his 3 seasons at Florida State, Payton recorded 16 sacks and he now spends a season with Kevin Peoples who has proven to be one of the best at developing edge rushers.
Loss: DaShawn Womack - Edge Rusher - Ole Miss
The LSU Tigers haven't lost many starters and the ones they have lost were replaceable pieces. The loss that is likely the Tigers biggest loss is the loss of edge rusher DaShawn Womack. LSU has to replace the production of edge rusher Bradyn Swinson and Sai'Vion Jones and Womack likely would've started next season if he would've returned. Anytime you lose a former five-star recruit that there was still hopes for hurts but, the Tigers have added three top transfer edge rushers.
Mississippi State Bulldogs:
Addition: Luke Kromenhoek - Quarterback - Florida State
The transfer portal saw Michael Van Buren a quarterback that was exciting for Mississippi State transfer to LSU meaning Jeff Lebby needed to find his next signal caller. The Bulldogs went out and landed Florida State transfer Luke Kromenhoek a former five-star recruit. This is a bet on the talent in Kromenhoek who played a bit for the Seminoles this season passing for 502 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a pair of interception. Mississippi State needs to find stability at the position so hopefully the Freshman can become a multi-year starter for the Bulldogs.
Loss: Kevin Coleman - Wide Receiver - Missouri
Anytime you lose a starter to an SEC Rival its a bit of bad news especially when its one you would've loved to see return in 2025. The Bulldogs lose wide receiver Kevin Coleman to Missouri after the best season of his career. This season, Coleman led the Bulldogs in receiving with 74 catches for 932 yards and 6 touchdowns and would've been a massive piece to keep on board as they add Kromenhoek.
