On Monday, the NCAA Tournament committee unveiled their 64 team bracket for the 2025 College World Series with the LSU Tigers earning the 6th National seed which allows the Tigers to host Regionals and Super Regionals. Joining the LSU Baseball team in the Baton Rouge Regional are the Dallas Baptist Patriots, the Rhode Island Rams, and the University of Arkansas Little Rock Trojans.

On initial glance, the LSU Baseball team got a great draw compared to some of the draws other National seeds were given. The LSU Baseball team has already faced and beaten the 2 seed in the region, while the other two opponents aren't from Power 4 conferences which will give the Tigers a clear talent advantage.

The Dallas Baptist Patriots are the 2nd seed in the Baton Rouge Regional and spent most of the season as a Top 25 team. Dallas Baptist and LSU met back in February with LSU winning the game 7-3 in Arlington, Texas. Conner Ware started for the Tigers pitching 4 innings before Zac Cowan and Casan Evans closed out the game. The Patriots haven't seen Kade Anderson or Anthony Eyanson this season which is an advantage for LSU. The Patriots went 40-16 this season ranking 20th in the RPI.

Earning the 3rd seed in the Baton Rouge Regional are the Rhode Island Rams who won the Atlantic 10 Tournament. This season, the Rams went 38-20 which lands the Rams at 68th in the RPI Rankings. The good news for LSU is that the Rams are the lowest ranked 3rd seed in the entire tournament per the RPI which gives the Tigers a clear advantage.

The 4th seeded University of Arkansas Little Rock Trojans won the OVC Championship which put them in the NCAA Tournament earning them a matchup against LSU on Friday. The Trojans went just 24-32 this season earning their way into the Tournament with their Conference Championship. For the LSU Baseball team, the Tigers get to face the lowest ranked team in the Tournament by the RPI at 243rd which is a great draw.

Overall, the LSU Baseball team got one of the best draws possible if the Tigers are going to advance to Super Regionals. The biggest test for LSU will be facing Dallas Baptist especially as LSU may need to beat the Patriots twice. The Regional draw is better than anyone could've expected and missing out on Super Regionals would be a massive disappointment.
