This week has been a recruiting tear for the LSU Football program as the Tigers started the week by landing the Nation's top Wide Receiver recruit Tristen Keys. Heading into the weekend, LSU built on the Nation's top recruiting class to once again lure in a top recruit this time landing elite defensive back Dylan Purter.

This week was a busy week for LSU when it comes to recruiting wide receivers as the LSU Tigers received a crystal ball prediction to land Texas native Boobie Feaster which would mean he'd be a fourth wide receiver in LSU's class. The news raised red flags with LSU's recruitment of In-State Wide Receiver Jabari Mack as many wondered if LSU was anticipating losing out in the battle for an in-state star.

LSU Football stays hot keeping the Best in the Boot at Home

On Saturday, the LSU Football team erased all doubt by landing a commitment from Jabari Mack as LSU held off Texas., Texas A&M, and Ohio State to keep Louisiana's top wide receiver recruit in Louisiana.

According to On3, Mack is the Nation's 77th ranked recruit, the 8th ranked wide receiver in the class, and the 5th ranked player out of Louisiana.

While the other schools made strong pushes, it was always hard to envision Jabari Mack leaving Louisiana. Destrehan is a school that has produced so many LSU Tigers including the best Wide Receiver in the NFL Justin Jefferson. After LSU landed two of Mack's high school teammates in the 2025 recruiting cycle, it only made LSU tougher to beat out in this recruiting class.

Last recruiting cycle, Cortez Hankton had a rough go of it as he lost Dakorien Moore and Derek Meadows to flips signing just a pair of wide receivers. This recruiting cycle, Cortez Hankton is dominating as he now holds commitments from three Four-Star wide receivers and a commitment from the Nation's best wide receiver.

The state of Louisiana has given LSU a ton to be excited about in this recruiting cycle and as LSU continues to get stars on board this has a chance to be a truly special recruiting class.
