The LSU Football team just turned in the best defensive performance we may have seen from a defense under Brian Kelly. The offense struggled all night but at the end of the fourth they forced overtime and in overtime they needed just one play to win the ball game.

The fans rushed the field celebrating a massive win and after Brian Kelly spoke with his team, he spoke with the media about the game.

On Garrett Nussmeier's shaky performance today, Brian Kelly said the following:

"I thought he grew more today than at any other time that he’s been here."

Brian Kelly gave his offensive line a ton of credit for tonight's win as the Tigers allowed no sacks to the defense that led the Nation in sacks.

"What won this game for us was our offensive line keeping Nussmeier clean."

One of the best performances on the defense was by Zy Alexander who shutdown opposing receivers all night while intercepting a pass in the endzone. For his performance Zy Alexander got the game ball which also could've gone to Whit Weeks or Bradyn Swinson.

"He was outstanding tonight. He won the matchups. He tackled in space."

When asked about the defense as a whole, Brian Kelly had a ton to say about how this team continues to improve week over week.
