Brian Kelly throwing his players under the bus after loss to Ole Miss was absurd

If Brian Kelly is trying to get out of this loss to taking an ounce of blame, he needs to think again.

LSU lost 24-19 to Ole Miss on Saturday, and while the defense played as well as it could, the offense seemed to be lost in the away stadium. Head coach Brian Kelly has already gone off on the media for questioning his offense this season, but now the tables have turned, and Kelly is placing all the blame on his players and taking none of it for himself.

The LSU offense definitely didn't do much to help get the Tigers to a win on Saturday, and it does ultimately come down to how the players perform on the field, but as the leader of the team, the head coach, Kelly, needs to be taking more responsibility than he is right now.

When asked about the offense, Kelly, instead of saying he needs to be better as a coach, immediately went to throwing his guys, including his quarterback, Garrett Nussmeier, under the bus.

"Garrett Nussmeier's got to play better. Every player on offense has got to play better," Kelly said in his post-game press conference after the loss to Ole Miss. "There's many, many players that have to play their best when their best is needed."

Kelly even took the opportunity to throw some of his guys on his coaching staff under the bus by saying they aren't getting their guys ready to go.

This is the sign of a toxic environment because Kelly is good with everything adn hyping up his players when the team is winning, but now, on the first loss of the season, suddenly it is the players' fault and Kelly doesn't seem to want to take any responsibility.

This is the job; taking this job to be the head coach means knowing the finger will be pointed at you when things go wrong, and instead, Kelly is just trying to get the heat off of himself, which is something LSU fans are going to take note of.
