Less than two weeks before Week 1, the re-tooling process of LSU's offensive line is still a work in progress. As Fall Camp moves along, Brian Kelly has shared an update on the status of the offensive line competitions.
According to Kelly, two positions have been locked down: Tyree Adams at left tackle and Braelin Moore at center. Battles are still ongoing for the starting roles at left guard, right guard, and right tackle.

Josh Thompson has nailed down "one of the guard positions," with Paul Mubenga and Coen Echols battling for the other. The right tackle competition still rages on between Weston Davis and Carius Curne. Kelly also mentioned that DJ Chester and Ory Williams are still in the mix as well, noting that he expects all of these guys to eventually play.
"Those are the guys that are all going to eventually play. I don't think you're just going to see five guys trotting out there every single play. I think you're going to see some other guys definitely getting into the game as well."Brian Kelly
The season opener against Clemson is just 11 days away. The offensive line group will have to be ready from the jump, as Clemson owns a dominating pass rush that could very well be the best in the nation. If LSU's new-look offensive line can give Garrett Nussmeier time to throw, the Tiger offense has the talent to take over the game. At this time, professional oddsmakers are giving the edge to Dabo Swinney's squad, as Clemson is favored over LSU by four points.
In a pivotal season for Kelly and LSU, the Tiger head coach needs his offensive line to be as good as he says it is. Kelly has cited his ability to develop elite NFL-level offensive linemen, and he has high expectations for the group that he has in Baton Rouge this season.
