The LSU Tigers have a massive opportunity on their hands. Brian Kelly's squad has a chance to make a big statement with a win on the road at Clemson in Week 1, which would end a five-game losing streak in season openers for the LSU program. In addition, a victory would open eyes across the country, and show that the 2025 Tigers are for real.

The game will be must-watch television for all college football fans. Both Tiger teams have national championship aspirations this season, and extreme pressure will be put on the losing team.

While kick-off for the highly-anticipated Week 1 matchup is still several weeks away, Vegas oddsmakers have made their decision on who to favor - and Tiger fans aren't having it.

Clemson favored over LSU by four points

LSU finds themselves as road underdogs against Clemson in Week 1. Professional oddsmakers currently have Clemson favored by four points. They are expecting Clemson to pickup a win in front of their home fans, but LSU fans are ready for their team to prove the doubters wrong.

The rosters of LSU and Clemson are constructed in very different ways, which makes this matchup even more intriguing. Clemson boasts the most returning production in the country, while LSU claims the No. 1 transfer portal class heading into the new season. The two teams are similar in the fact that they both have elite, experienced quarterbacks in Garrett Nussmeier and Cade Klubnik. It will be entertaining to watch the two veteran signal-callers go back and forth.

Clemson has an elite defensive line that has the chance to be the best in the country. LSU's new-look offensive line needs to be on their game from the jump in order to neutralize Clemson's pass rush. If Nussmeier has time to throw, he and LSU's elite receiving core are capable of slicing and dicing Clemson's secondary.

Clemson is one of six teams LSU will face in 2025 that are featured in the top-25 preseason coaches poll. After facing No. 6 Clemson, LSU is also slated to play No. 8 Alabama, No. 13 South Carolina, No. 15 Ole Miss, No. 17 Florida, and No. 21 Texas A&M. Despite a daunting schedule, college football fans are loving the over on LSU's win total of 8.5.
