This weekend we get a massive showdown in the SEC as LSU heads to College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies. The winner claims first place in the SEC and a great chance at making the College Football Playoff while the loser is once again on the outside looking in when it comes to making the College Football Playoff.

To get a sense of how this game may play out, we simulated a game of EA Sports' College Football 25 to see how the simulation thinks this game will go.

The LSU Tigers grabbed an early first quarter lead on a 22 yard catch by Mason Taylor which was the only score of the first quarter. Texas A&M got on the board on a 36 yard field goal before LSU got into the endzone again on a 6 yard touchdown pass from Garrett Nussmeier to Aaron Anderson. Texas A&M would answer right back with a 19 yard receiving touchdown from Le'Veon Moss to cut LSU's lead to four heading into the half.

Kyren Lacy kicked off the second half scoring catching a 35 yard pass from Garrett Nussmeier to extend the lead to 11 before the fourth quarter.

The Aggies raced back to take the lead scoring a touchdown on a five yard pass to Cyrus Allen followed by a 16 yard touchdown to Cyrus Allen while LSU stopped both two point conversions. The Aggies would score once more taking an eight point lead on a Conner Weigman quarterback sneak before Garrett Nussmeier sent the game to overtime once again with a 30 yard touchdown to Aaron Anderson.

The teams would trade field goals to open overtime with LSU scoring a touchdown on a nine-yard run from Caden Durham however the Tigers couldn't score on the two-point conversion. The Tigers fate was quickly sealed however as Conner Weigman found Amari Daniels for a 25 yard touchdown followed by a two point conversion giving A&M a 40-38 win.

Garrett Nussmeier finished 18 of 29 with 306 yards, 4 touchdowns, and an interception however he was outshined by Conner Weigman who went 17 of 25 for 244 yards and four touchdowns adding another on a quarterback sneak. Both teams had their run games stuffed with A&M averaging 2.72 yards per carry while LSU averaged 3.71 yards per carry.

Kyren Lacy turned in another massive performance with five catches for 108 yards and a score while Aaron Anderson caught six passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns. The Aggies got a massive performance out of New Orleans native Cyrus Allen who caught six passes for 104 yards and a pair of scores.

LSU's defense wasn't able to create negative plays with just four tackles for a loss while Major Burns and Dom McKinley split a sack.

This would be the worst way to lose for LSU

Losing in overtime hurts especially to a Conference Rival in a game of this magnitude. If LSU lost the way the simulation went you'd be shocked and utterly disappointed as the Tigers stuffed the run but, Conner Weigman threw the ball all over the defense. The Tigers defense will need to play much better in real life but, given how this season has gone its unrealistic that A&M would be able to be as effective through the air as they were in the sim.
