The College Football season has come to an end and teams now look toward the future as they hope to win the National Championship in 2025. The NFL Draft is the next step for 11 LSU Tigers who either are out of eligibility or were talented enough to declare for the NFL Draft a year early. As the offseason is officially underway, here are the 11 LSU Tigers who have declared for the NFL Draft.
Will Campbell - Offensive Tackle
Three Year starting Left Tackle Will Campbell is expected to be LSU's first player taken in the 2025 NFL Draft. Campbell was a Consensus All-American in 2024 and split the Jennings Blocking Trophy with Kelvin Banks as the two will now battle it out to be the first offensive tackle taken in this year's draft. If Campbell is taken in the first round, it'll be LSU's first offensive tackle taken in the first round another milestone for NFLSU.
Emery Jones Jr - Offensive Tackle
Opposite of Will Campbell for three seasons was Emery Jones Jr who became a mainstay on LSU's offensive line. Emery Jones' Draft Situation is different than Will Campbell's as teams are often willing to move a left tackle to the right side but, hardly ever play a right tackle on the right side. Emery Jones is currently projected to be a Day Two pick but, could impress teams during the Draft Process.
Mason Taylor - Tight End
After three seasons of being Mr. Reliable for the LSU Football team, Mason Taylor is off to the NFL Draft. The Draft Class this season is loaded with tight ends as Taylor will compete with Penn State's Tyler Warren and Bowling Green's Harold Fannin Jr to be the first tight end selected. Given positional value, Mason Taylor is currently projected as a 2nd-3rd round pick.
Sai'Vion Jones - Edge Rusher
While the stats didn't always reflect it, Sai'Vion Jones had a solid season in 2024 as he heads into the NFL Draft. Jones has the size and the speed of an NFL Edge Rusher which will make him a fit in the Draft for most teams. Sai'Vion Jones is being projected anywhere from the 3rd to the 5th round which makes a strong showing at the Senior Bowl important.
Bradyn Swinson - Edge Rusher
Heading into the season it was hard to project what Bradyn Swinson could be as he hadn't played much in 2023. The 2024 season made Bradyn Swinson a ton of money as he went from a relative unknown to a likely Day Two selection. Swinson has proven he can be an every down edge rusher in the NFL and his pass rush production will make him a highly sought after player.
Zy Alexander - Cornerback
After tearing his ACL last season, Zy Alexander returned to LSU's Defense and built up his draft stock with a solid season. For most of the season Zy Alexander was shutting opposing wide receivers down which will only excited NFL General Managers. Alexander currently projects to be a 3rd round pick but, could increase his stock with good medical evaluations at the Combine.
Kyren Lacy - Wide Receiver
After taking the back seat to Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr, Kyren Lacy worked his way into the spotlight as LSU's leading receiver this season. Lacy caught 58 passes for 866 yards and 9 touchdowns averaging 14.9 yards per reception. It's unclear whether or not Kyren Lacy will still participate in the Senior Bowl but, if he does it's a great chance to boost his NFL draft stock.
Miles Frazier - Interior Offensive Line
After another successful season at Right Guard, Miles Frazier heads off to the NFL Draft. Where Frazier may be able to build up his draft stock is by proving he can play Tackle at a high level during the Senior Bowl like he did during the Texas Bowl. Miles Frazier is currently expected to be drafted during Day 3 of the Draft.
Garrett Dellinger - Interior Offensive Line
The past few seasons, Garrett Dellinger has been incredibly underrated as the glue on LSU's offensive line. This season was cut short for Garrett Dellinger who had to undergo tightrope surgery on his ankle. Dellinger now looks to improve his Draft stock during the process as he'll look to show NFL team's his ability at full strength at the Senior Bowl.
Greg Penn III - Linebacker
The veteran in the middle of LSU's defense moves on to the NFL as Greg Penn III enters the NFL Draft. Greg Penn III became a tackling machine during his time at LSU which will make him appealing to scouts. Penn is currently projected to be a Late Day 3 pick but, could move up a round or two with strong offseason showings.
Josh Williams - Running Back
The final remaining piece from LSU's National Championship team is off to the NFL as Josh Williams declared for the NFL Draft. Williams' career is an incredible story as he went from a Walk On to a starter for the LSU Tigers. Williams' extensive time at LSU made him solid in pass protection which could be appealing to an NFL Team. Williams will likely be an Undrafted Free Agent but, if he can impress teams during the Draft Process he could find himself drafted on Day Three.
