On Tuesday Afternoon, the LSU Football team will wrap up their season as they take on the Baylor Bears in the Texas Bowl. This won't be the LSU team we've watched all season as opt outs to the NFL Draft and transfers have reshaped the roster taking away some starters and depth pieces behind them.

The Bowl game serves as an exciting game as we'll see a few fresh faces in the lineup especially on the offensive line giving us a potential preview to the group next season. The biggest hope from this game is that the returning starters play well and that a few fresh faces give everyone even more of a reason to believe in the 2025 team.

As of Tuesday Morning, here are the odds for the Texas Bowl:

Odds:

Line: Baylor -3.5

Total: 61.5 Points

The Oddsmakers are favoring Baylor by just over a field goal likely due to LSU's opt outs while the total indicates that this will be a high scoring affair.

How to watch:

The LSU Football team will return to action when it faces off against Baylor as the game kicks off at 2:30 PM Central Time or 3:30 PM Eastern time for the fans on the East Coast. The game will be broadcast on ESPN. If you'd like to listen to the game, it'll be available on LSU Sports Radio Network (98.1 FM in Baton Rouge).

Injury Report/Opt Outs for LSU

The Tigers will be without Will Campbell, Emery Jones, Mason Taylor, Garrett Dellinger, Kyren Lacy, and Major Burns who have opted out to prepare for the NFL Draft. On the injury front, LSU is pretty healthy as Garrett Nussmeier has been practicing after injuring his shoulder against Oklahoma while Caden Durham has played through his toe injury for the majority of the season.

Death Valley Voice's Predictions:

Nick Rome: LSU wins 31-13

Why LSU will win this game

A ton will be said about LSU's opt outs but, at the end of the day the Tigers still have the better roster and better players. The offensive line is the group most affected by the opt outs but, LSU will still have 2 of 5 starters in this game as well as some experienced players filling in where starters depart. On defense, LSU's safety play struggled all season but, with two starters out it may be an upgrade for LSU.
