If you're a fan of College Football recruiting than Today feels like Christmas as the Early Signing Period is upon us. Starting Today, recruits can start to sign with their teams which will start the end of the recruiting cycle. LSU has taken some lumps as of late but, they still enter the day with the Nation's 8th ranked recruiting class with a chance to take a massive jump or a dip. As we head into the day, here are the five biggest storylines for LSU.

Can LSU finally win out for DJ Pickett?

The LSU Football team landed a commitment from the Nation's Top Cornerback DJ Pickett over the Summer over Miami and Oregon which was a bit surprising. The track record of Corey Raymond helped LSU win out in this race but, it hasn't been a recruitment without scares. Pickett has visited Florida, Georgia, and Miami this season and given his family ties to Miami that school has been the biggest threat to a flip. On Signing Day Eve, LSU lost five-star cornerback Kade Phillips to Texas making landing Pickett even more important than it already was. Given that LSU won out because of Corey Raymond and the fact that LSU got the last visit, the Tigers should feel good coming into Today.

Will LSU pull off the flip of Five-Star Solomon Thomas?

Ever since Florida State fired Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach Alex Atkins, LSU has been in flip contention for Solomon Thomas. When LSU got Thomas on campus for the Vanderbilt game, the Tigers officially were in contention for the flip. Late on Tuesday Night, On3 predicted that LSU will pull off the flip for the Nation's 32nd ranked player. If LSU pulls off the flip they won't have to beat out just Florida State but, also the Florida Gators who have been surging on the recruiting trail.

Will LSU land Five-Star In-State Recruit Jahkeem Stewart?

When Jahkeem Stewart reclassified into the 2025 Recruiting Class, it turned his recruitment into a sprint to the finish line. For points, LSU looked like they were in the lead, as did Oregon, Ohio State, and as of late USC. Heading into Signing Day the best pick would be USC but, LSU does have the Hometown advantage. USC is more desperate given how their season went and Lincoln Riley has swung and missed on a ton of defensive linemen from the Southeast but, Jahkeem Stewart could give him that massive win. We'll have to see if LSU's late surge is enough or if Stewart will be heading west.

Will LSU be able to hang onto any of its projected flip candidates?

Heading into Signing Day, two of LSU's commitment Four-Star Wide Receiver Derek Meadows and three-star tight end Mike Tyler are expected to flip. Meadows is most likely to flip to Alabama while Michigan and Notre Dame have led more recently than LSU has. Tight End Mike Tyler is expected to flip to South Carolina which is the In-State School. It'll be tough for LSU to hang onto either commit but, crazier things have happened.

Will LSU get shocked in any way?

There are two ways LSU can be shocked either by losing a commit that seemed rather safe or by landing someone we all didn't see coming. Some of the shocking loss candidates would be In-State players like Harlem Berry, JT Lindsey, TaRon Francis, and others as well as Out of State players that have been locked in like Damien Shanklin, Zach Weeks, CJ Jimcoily, and Charles Ross among others. There aren;t any shocking commits LSU could land that stand out but, that's what make it potentially shocking.
