The LSU Lady Tigers got a bump in the AP Poll rising to the 5th ranked team prior to their matchup with Vanderbilt on Monday Night. It looked like just as soon as LSU moved up in the rankings they may fall back down the rankings as they were in an all-out war with Vanderbilt.

The game started out and it looked like both teams may score 100 as they were shooting the lights out scoring 21 a piece. The second quarter didn't separate either team as they entered halftime tied at 37 all. If the first half didn't tell you this was a back and forth affair the 3rd quarter did as LSU took just a one point lead into the fourth quarter.

The fourth quarter was an absolute war with LSU and Vanderbilt trading leads down the stretch before Flau'Jae Johnson took this game over. The play that flipped the momentum fully in LSU's favor came as Flau'Jae Johnson bailed LSU out of a shot clock violation banking in a deep three.

Flau'Jae Johnson was incredible for LSU scoring 25 points with 11 points coming in the fourth quarter. Aneesah Morrow continues to dominate scoring 23 points while grabbing 15 rebounds recording yet another double-double. Mikaylah Williams was efficient making 8 of 13 shots scoring 20 points. When LSU gets the level of play from their big three like they did on Monday Night, they're next to impossible to beat.

Late in the fourth quarter, Aneesah Morrow reached a historic Women's College Basketball milestone becoming the 8th player in Women's College Basketball history to record 2,500 points and 1,500 rebounds.

The 5th ranked LSU Lady Tigers now get a few days off to rest and recover before heading to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators.
