Florida Gators transfer Edge Rusher Jack Pyburn books a visit to LSU
The LSU Football team is on a tear currently on the transfer portal recruiting trail, reeling in their first transfer in Oklahoma's Bauer Sharp. The Tigers are projected to land three more transfers in Kentucky Wide Receiver Barion Brown, Virginia Tech Interior offensive lineman Braelin Moore, and Florida Cornerback Ja'Keem Jackson. The Tigers may not be done attempting to lure in Florida Gators as Florida Gators edge rusher Jack Pyburn is slated to visit from December 14th to December 15th.
The past few days, Jack Pyburn has become a controversial figure as outlets report that he had outrageous demands from Florida that the Gators didn't meet.
On3 and Pyburn have since denied these rumors stating that Pyburn simply wanted to see his role increased and that he never demanded anything.
The LSU Football team has a need at edge rusher with Sai'Vion Jones and Bradyn Swinson off to the NFL while Da'Shawn Womack transferred to Ole Miss. LSU has been linked to several edge rushers and as is the case with Pyburn, their main competition with most of their targets has been Texas A&M.
Pyburn has one year of eligibility left and recorded 60 tackles, 1 sack, a forced fumble, and an interception this year.
Of the edge rushers that LSU has had on campus thus far, the best choice remains Purdue Edge Rusher Will Heldt who is also considering Texas A&M and will visit Clemson. The good news for LSU is that we'll likely see waves of players continue to enter the transfer portal once some of the playoff teams with deeper rosters are eliminated.
