The transfer portal has become one of the most fascinating pieces of College Football ever since the rules were changed to allow players to transfer without having to sit out a year of football. The constant movement can take a player off of your roster and take them out of your mind as they move to a new school. That is until they return to the conference and pop up on one of your opponents rosters.

That is the case with former LSU Offensive Tackle Marcus Dumervil who transferred from Maryland to Arkansas meaning LSU will face him in the Battle for the Boot in 2025.

Marcus Dumervil signed with LSU in the 2020 recruiting class as the 114th best player in the class and the 16th ranked offensive tackle. Dumervil was with LSU for three seasons redhsirting his freshman year while appearing in 16 games over his LSU career.

Dumervil would then transfer to Maryland where he appeared in 14 games over two seasons starting three games at left tackle. Dumervil now transfers back to the SEC where he'll look to start for Arkansas in his final season of College Football.

The Razorbacks already landed Georgia Tech offensive tackle Corey Robinson II so Arkansas is loading up on the offensive line which makes it tough to project where Dumervil will play. It would be great to see Dumervil get a full season of starting reps under his belt before his time in College Football comes to an end.
