Frank Wilson already made a huge LSU change Brian Kelly refused to embrace

It's about time this happened.

He's only been in charge for a few days and Frank Wilson is already making plenty of people happy when it comes to LSU football. Wilson has taken over as the interim head coach now that Brian Kelly has been fired and he's wasted no time in making some changes.

2 schools 'pushing hard' for LSU's prized 5-star commit

Perhaps the one that has people talking the most is it looks like he has lifted a quiet ban that Kelly had in place. We're of course talking about former players being allowed to attend practices and show some love to the current Tigers inside of the football facility. There was plenty of speculation that Kelly didn't allow that to happen, having a bit of a closed-door policy for sessions. Has that changed under Wilson? That seems to be the case:

It looks like former LSU players are once again allowed to attend practices

This might seem like it's a small element to a program, but people did not love that Kelly wouldn't let former LSU superstars 'come home' and check out practices. Is this something that is common practice across the country for college programs? Not a chance.

If anything, it was another example of Kelly not being on the same page with LSU and a reason why not too many former players are upset about the fact that he's no longer running the show in Baton Rouge. Wilson has instilled some needed excitement into things, which has been great.

Wilson is a Louisiana native and he knows what being a Tiger means to so many people across the state. He also knows that guys who gave it their all donning an LSU jersey will never lose love for the program and they'll always appreciate their time on campus.

Because of this, one simple tweet from Clark has people excited that needed changes have arrived now that Kelly is no longer the head coach for the SEC powerhouse. There's a new vibe surrounding the Tigers and Wilson taking over is the main reason for that. Hopefully more changes that embrace the LSU culture will be on the way too.
