The LSU Tigers picked up a much-needed victory on Saturday against the Arkansas Razorbacks. After falling behind 14-0 in the first quarter, it wasn't looking to good for the Tigers. However, Frank Wilson was able to rally his team en route to a 23-22 victory. It was an emotional first win at LSU for Wilson, who was showered with a Gatorade bath immediately after the game. The win snaps a three-game losing streak for LSU, who also reaches bowl eligibility.
Arkansas would do LSU a huge favor by hiring this head coach
While reaching 6-4 with two games to go isn't where Tiger fans wanted to be when the season began, Saturday's rivalry win over Arkansas brings some much-needed positivity to the LSU Football program. While Tiger fans will take the win, LSU bettors suffered a bad beat in the final minutes of the game.
Harlem Berry makes unselfish play to seal win for LSU
The LSU vs Arkansas betting odds closed with the Tigers as 4.5-point favorites. Late in the fourth quarter, LSU was leading 23-22 and driving the ball down the field in an effort to put the game on ice. With under two minutes to play, Harlem Berry broke loose on a 3rd-and-3 from the Arkansas 23-yard line and had a chance to score a game-sealing touchdown. Instead, he chose to slide down in the field of play.
It was an unselfish play from the freshman RB, as LSU would now just run a couple QB kneels to seal the game. But at the same time, it broke the hearts of LSU bettors as it meant that the Tigers wouldn't cover the 4.5-point spread.

While scoring a touchdown would have put the Tigers up 30-22, it would mean giving the ball back to Arkansas. Even with such little time left on the clock, that's not a risk LSU wanted to take. Despite having just two wins on the season, Arkansas owns one of the best offenses in all of college football and can score in a hurry.
By sliding down, Berry ensured that LSU would hold onto the ball in the final minute of the game. Arkansas couldn't stop the clock, and QB Michael Van Buren Jr kneeled the ball on three consecutive plays to close out the win.
Berry had a strong day on the ground, rushing for 52 yards on 11 carries. On the season, the freshman RB has now rushed for 343 yards on 69 carries, which is good for 4.97 yards per carry. He's also added two rushing touchdowns. Berry has seen his role increase in recent weeks, as he's totaled double-digit carries and in three of his last four games, reaching the 50-yard mark in all four games. Berry and the Tigers will now prepare to face Western Kentucky next Saturday.
