The SEC Baseball season is upon us as the LSU Tigers will face off against Missouri in the first SEC Baseball series of the year. The LSU Tigers enter this weekend as the 2nd ranked team by everyone except for D1Baseball, who has LSU ranked first amid a 12 game winning streak and a 17-1 record. Missouri isn't off to the same hot start as they enter this weekend 8-8.
The LSU Baseball team has been riding a red hot offense ever since their first loss of the season. Jared Jones has been red hot as of late bringing a three game home run streak into this weekend. Opposing teams have been forced to face Jared Jones this season as Derek Curiel has gotten on base in front of him while Daniel Dickinson and Josh Pearson have made teams pay for walking Jones.
Probable Starters for LSU:
The Tigers only played one game this week, and Jay Johnson used it as a bullpen game after a prolonged first ining. If there is going to be any shakeup, it'll be to either get Gavin Guidry his first start or to move William Schmidt into the weekend rotation.
