After a brutal weekend where the LSU Baseball team got swept by the Auburn Tigers, the LSU Baseball team returns to the diamond looking to build back momentum before a weekend series against Alabama. The Tigers return to Baton Rouge, kicking off a 9 game homestand where they'll start by facing off against the In-State McNeese Cowboys.

The LSU Baseball team enters this matchup at 31-6 but, are riding a 3 game losing streak which dropped the Tigers to 9th in the D1Baseball rankings. McNeese is having a solid season with a 27-5 record on the year and they bring a 12-game winning streak to Baton Rouge.

While the offense has been solid for most of the year, LSU's offense couldn't find a rhythm this weekend as LSU's pitching staff gave them a great chance to win on Saturday and Sunday. In this game, you'd like to see LSU string together good at-bats rather than looking to press building back the right approach.

Who Could Start for LSU?

The last two weekday starts went to true Freshman William Schmidt who gave the Tigers a great outing which could keep him in line for a start. The two prior weekday starts have gone to Jaden Noot who has been incredibly impressive in his two starts. If Gavin Guidry can return this week, it would be great to see him in the mix during this game as LSU looks to finally get one of its best relievers back.
