After spending most of the week in Texas, the LSU Baseball team returns home and there will be a new number next to LSU on the score bug as the Tigers were ranked as the Top Team in America coming into the week. The Tigers enter this two game set at 11-1 coming off of a week where the Tigers went 5-0. North Dakota State has had the near opposite start with a 1-9 record after being swept by Alabama.

This past week was tough on LSU's pitching staff as every team the Tigers faced was able to hit the ball at a high level. This game should allow LSU's rotation and bullpen to bounce back as North Dakota State is sporting just a .197 average at the plate.

The Tigers offense took center stage this weekend especially in Omaha as the Tigers flooded the basepaths every inning. LSU's offense should shine once again during this two game set as North Dakota's staff has a cumulative 11.10 ERA through 77 innings.

Neither team has named starters for this series but, LSU seemingly has two pitchers ready to go for this matchup. Conner Ware and William Schmidt have both gotten weekday starts which should line Ware up to start on Tuesday and Schmidt to start on Wednesday. The X-Factor will be whether or not Gavin Guidry is able to pitch for the Tigers as he's recovering from a Non-Throwing injury.
