After cruising to victory over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, the LSU Baseball team is back in action as they head to Norman, Oklahoma, to take on the Oklahoma Sooners. The Tigers enter this matchup ranked 7th by D1Baseball with a 27-3 record and a 7-2 record in SEC Play. The Oklahoma Sooners enter this matchup ranked 10th according to D1Baseball with a 23-5 record and a 5-4 record in SEC Play.
LSU will look to continue their dominant play at the plate as they lead the SEC in batting average and third nationally while ranking 2nd in the SEC in doubles. The Tigers' pitching staff has been great at striking out opponents, ranking 2nd in the conference in strikeouts; however, they have struggled at times as well.
Oklahoma has struggled to start SEC play which is shown with their 5-4 record as they're 10th in the SEC in batting average. The pitching staff has a 4.22 ERA which ranks 9th in the SEC which should give LSU's offense plenty of chances to put up crooked numbers this weekend.
