This weekend, the LSU Football team was able to get the best recruits in the State on campus for the first time or back on campus as a part of the Boys in the Boot Recruiting Event. The Tigers were able to make a strong impression right before the recruiting dead period which runs through March 2nd.
Among the top recruits on campus this weekend was five star offensive line recruit Lamar Brown. Lamar Brown is the top player in Louisiana, the 11th ranked recruit in the Country, and the top interior offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class. Brown is one of the best players in the Country and will be an impact player either on the offensive or defensive line at the college level.
During the fall and into the Winter it looked like Texas A&M took the lead in the recruitment but, LSU made up some ground this weekend. As Lamar Brown cut his list of schools down, LSU is one of the finalists and now they're one of the schools who will get an official visit.

LSU will get Lamar Brown on campus for his official visit from June 20th through June 22nd which is the final of Brown's four official visits. The Tigers getting Lamar Brown to campus after Texas A&M gives LSU a massive boost as they'll have a shot to make the last impression on Brown before his Senior season kicks off.
On the heels of losing In State Five Star Jahkeem Stewart to USC, it would be massive for LSU to land Lamar Brown keeping an elite recruit In-State. It's unclear which position Brown will play at the College level but, LSU will have needs on the interior offensive line as they can lose Josh Thompson and Braelin Moore and on the defensive line where they could lose Jacobian Guillory and Sydir Mitchell.
