As kick-off between the No. 11 LSU Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks draws nearer, LSU fans are wondering if the Tigers will get a key piece of the offense back on Saturday night. WR1 Aaron Anderson went down with multiple injuries a few weeks ago against Ole Miss, missing the entire second half against the Rebels.
Anderson is LSU's leading receiver with 305 receiving yards through five games this season. He was the leading receiver for the Tigers last season as well, racking up 61 receptions for 884 yards. Anderson and Garett Nussmeier have great chemistry, and for an LSU offense that has struggled to get going in 2025, getting Anderson back would be a big help for the Tigers.
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Anderson will be playing against South Carolina. He was officially listed as questionable on Friday's availability report, but Anderson decided to break the news himself, announcing via his Instagram that he will not be suiting up against the Gamecocks on Saturday night.

Earlier this week, Brian Kelly said that Anderson was "a go," but it's now clear that is not the case. Anderson was battling elbow and knee injuries, which left his status in serious doubt over the last few weeks.
The Tigers enjoyed a bye week after falling to Ole Miss, but it seems that it wasn't enough time for Anderson to get healthy enough to play. Hopefully, LSU's leading receiver will be able to suit up against the Vanderbilt Commodores next week in Nashville.
