The 2023 NFL Season was far from what Joe Burrow had envisioned before the season. The entire season Burrow dealt with nagging injuries. During Training Camp, Burrow suffered a right calf strain which left him hampered for parts of the regular season. Then a torn Scapholunate ligament in his right wrist during Week 11 cost Burrow the rest of his season.
Coming off of such a rare injury for Quarterbacks, there was plenty of discussion about whether Burrow would be the same especially as the injury occurred to his throwing wrist. This season Burrow proved that he wasn't the same, he was better.
This season, Joe Burrow led the league in passing yards with 4,918 and led the league in passing touchdowns with 43 touchdowns. This season set new passing yards and passing touchdown records for Joe Burrow's career despite his brilliance being wasted by a team lacking solid defense and special teams.
For his incredible Bounce Back season, Joe Burrow won the NFL Honors Comeback Player of the Year Award.

This is Joe Burrow's second career NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award as he also won in 2021. If there's any word to describe Joe Burrow throughout his College and NFL Career, it's resilient. Burrow has now comeback twice from potentially career altering injuries and has posted unbelievable seasons.
Randy Moss was the one who read off Joe Burrow winning the Award but, it was a full show of LSU success stories after Jayden Daniels won the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, Burrow won Comeback Player of the Year while sitting next to the triple crown winner Ja'Marr Chase and was handed his Award by his other Superstar teammate Justin Jefferson.
He came back from his injury better than ever.
