After picking up a 7-0 win over Little Rock, the LSU Baseball team got to face off against the Dallas Baptist Patriots for the 2nd time this season, looking to advance to the Regional final on Sunday. After rolling with Anthony Eyanson on Friday Night, Jay Johnson got to call upon Kade Anderson in this matchup which is always an advantage.
As the Tigers did on Friday night, the offense jumped right on Dallas Baptist to start off this matchup. After recording two quick outs, LSU took advantage of two free passes as Ethan Frey blasted a double down the line in right field to take an early 2-0 lead.

In the top of the 2nd Inning, Dallas Baptist was putting pressure on Kade Anderson before Derek Curiel made a great defensive play catching the fly ball and firing the ball to first, where Jared Jones tagged a runner out, getting LSU out of the inning.

All season long, Chris Stanfield racked up hit after hit yet, was unable to leave the yard for the first time as a Tiger. On Saturday Night, Chris Stanfield finally got himself on the board hitting his first LSU home run to right field making it 3-0 LSU.

The Tigers would tack on another insurance run in the 5th Inning as Chris Stanfield grounded out to score Steven Milam.
In the bottom of the 6th, the Tigers once again scored as Luis Hernandez dunked a single into right field making it 8-0. Hernandez then took off for second on the next pitch drawing the throw down which allowed the Tigers to score on the double steal.

The LSU Baseball team didn't even need all that much offensively as the Tigers sent Kade Anderson to the mound in this matchup. Anderson once again delivered a stellar outing, pitching 7 innings, allowing just 4 hits and a pair of walks while striking out 11 in a scoreless showing. The Tigers are 2-0 in this Regional, and it's easy to see why when the Tigers starting pitchers have put together 14.2 scoreless innings.
When Kade Anderson's outing came a close, Jay Johnson brought on DJ Primeaux who record 1 out but, allowed runners to reach the corners which led to Jacob Mayers coming into the game. Mayers impressed recording a quick strikeout and got a pop out to keep the Patriots off the board.
In the bottom of the 8th inning, Ethan Frey added a run for good measure blasting a triple off the wall in center scoring on an error.

The Tigers would then tack on another run in the 8th as Ashton Larson hit a sacrifice fly to center scoring Steven Milam while the Tigers scored their 12th run on a passed ball.
In the top of the 9th Inning, Johnson called on Freshman William Schmidt to get the final 3 outs for the Tigers. Schmidt allowed a pair of runners to reach but, he worked out of trouble keeping the trouble intact.
After entering this Postseason with concerns about the offense, the LSU Baseball team put together another solid day at the plate. The Tigers scored 12 runs on 10 hits with 7 walks, constantly flooding the bases scoring in every inning except for the 4th and 7th innings. LSU did get some help from Dallas Baptist who recorded a season high 4 errors. Jared Jones is the lone Tiger waiting to break through but, LSU scoring 12 runs without any production from Jones should scare everyone.
The LSU Baseball team now awaits the winner of Dallas Baptist Vs Little Rock in the Regional Final on Sunday at 8:00 PM Central.
