The new Netflix documentary "SEC Football: Any Given Saturday" has been released, and social media is ablaze with instant reactions from fans. LSU plays a key part in the documentary, which was released today.

One interesting part of the popular documentary focuses on LSU's recruiting efforts to bring quarterback Garrett Nussmeier back to LSU for his senior season. Nussmeier has been in Baton Rouge for four seasons, and after waiting his turn, got the full-time starting nod last season. He orchestrated a sensational campaign, throwing for 4,052 yards and 29 touchdowns while completing 64.2 percent of his passes. Getting him back was at the top of LSU's to-do list this offseason, and Tiger fans were relieved when the Lake Charles native chose to return to Baton Rouge.

Having the same agent is a peculiar spot to be in for coach and quarterback

In the new world of college athletics, athletes and coaches both have agents to represent their best interests in these types of situations. In a clip from the documentary, it was revealed that LSU head coach Brian Kelly and Nussmeier share the same agent. That is a wild spot to be in for all parties involved.

On one hand, Trace Armstrong is tasked with representing Nussmeier in preparation for his NFL career. At the same time, Armstrong has to understand that if Nussmeier's name isn't near the top of draft boards, it would be more advantageous for Nussmeier to return to LSU.

Kelly, also a client of Armstrong, was caught in the middle of these conversations. Armstrong would report back to Kelly what the latest developments were for Nussmeier's decision-making process.

"Interesting world we live in. He's my agent. But he's representing players that are on my team."
Brian Kelly

It must've been a wild situation to be in. The 2025 season could make-or-break Kelly's time at LSU, and getting Nussmeier back was a must-have for him and his staff. They got Nussmeier back, and LSU's offense could be in for a big season because of his return.

LSU linebacker Whit Weeks also had a viral moment in the documentary, showcasing his elite confidence in Nussmeier for this upcoming season.
