Along with leading the LSU women's basketball program to an 11-0 start, Kim Mulkey and her staff are working hard to land a top 2027 recruit.

Latest development gives Tiger fans hope that Lane Kiffin will retain Frank Wilson

Caroline Bradley, a 6' 5" center and 5-star prospect for the 2027 class, is receiving plenty of attention on the recruiting trail from the top coaches in the country. Hailing from Oak Grove, Mulkey is making serious moves to land the top prospect in the state of Louisiana.

This past weekend, Mulkey and her entire staff hit the road to River Ridge (LA) to watch Bradley in Oak Grove's matchup against John Curtis.

LSU hoping to land in-state 5-star prospect Caroline Bradley

Bradley is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 player in Louisiana and the No. 1 center in the country for the 2027 recruiting class. Last year as a sophomore, Bradley averaged 20.6 points, 14.5 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, and 2.5 assists per game to lead Oak Grove to a 21-4 record and an appearance in the state championship game.

She is described by 247Sports Director of Scouting Brandon Clay as having "the size on the interior that makes it difficult for high school prospects to keep her off the glass on either end of the court." Clay adds that Bradley "is comfortable playing through contact...and moves well from side to side while maintaining a consistent pace of play."

It's clear that Mulkey and LSU are making Bradley their top priority when building their 2027 recruiting class. The highly-touted prospect has made multiple visits to LSU over the past few seasons, but other schools remain in pursuit. Most notably, Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks are also putting their foot on the gas for Bradley's services.

But Mulkey has to feel good about LSU's home field advantage when recruiting Bradley. Landing a commitment from the top player in the state would be a great way for Mulkey to start building her 2027 class of Tigers.
