For the most part, the LSU Women's Basketball team had been quiet in the transfer portal when it comes to adding players. Transfer losses of Sa'Myah Smith, Aalyah Del Rosario, and Last-Tear Poa along with the loss of LSU's Senior class headlined by 7th overall pick Aneesah Morrow created a massive need for talent on LSU's roster especially at forward.
The LSU Lady Tigers did strike early on in the transfer portal landing former 5-star recruit Kate Koval coming off of her Freshman season at Notre Dame. The Tigers still had clear needs as it'll take far more than one player to fill the void that Aneesah Morrow's departure brings.

Kim Mulkey's second addition of the offseason is a massive one as the Tigers land an All-AAC First-Team selection. Kim Mulkey and her staff need to add height and they land a scorer on the inside in Amiya Joyner who averaged 15.0 points per game and 9.2 rebounds per game this season at East Carolina.
As the Tigers added two key pieces in the transfer portal along with the Nation's top ranked recruiting class with four elite recruits, LSU's roster is starting to take shape. While Mulkey has 6 potential instant impact players joining the roster, the Tigers should still be in the market for high end talent.
Ideally, Kim Mulkey will go out and land an elite point guard as it has been a position that's lacked the level of play Mulkey's system needs. Overall, the Lady Tigers were going to be in the mix for the National Championship as long as they got Flau'Jae Johnson and Mikaylah Williams back and the Tigers chances will only get stronger with each addition.
