The NFL Free Agency Frenzy has carried on from Monday into Tuesday as the best players available continue to come off the board signing with new franchises. On Monday, the Los Angeles Chargers signed Steelers cornerback and LSU Alum Donte Jackson on a two year contract which likely signaled the end of Kristian Fulton's time with the Chargers.

After starting his career in Tennessee, Fulton was able to stay healthy in 2024 with the Chargers taking his game to another level. After his bounce back 2024 season, Fulton was set to cash in via free agency as he proved to NFL teams he could be the cornerback he was while at LSU.

On Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs swooped in to sign Kristian Fulton on a two year contract worth $20 Million with $15 Million guaranteed an awesome development after he played for just over $3 million last season.

The Kansas City Chiefs got to face off against Kristian Fulton twice this season giving them a front row seat to watch his development. In their September matchup, Kristian Fulton picked off Patrick Mahomes returning it 29 yards which may have impacted the Chiefs as they pursued him quickly this offseason.

In 2024, Kristian Fulton recorded 39 tackles, an interception, and 7 pass deflections while playing a career high 15 games showing what he can do when healthy and that he can stay healthy.

The Chiefs now have one of the better cornerback trios in the league as they pair Kristian Fulton with Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson. Coming off of a disappointing loss in the Super Bowl it was clear that the Chiefs needed to add several pieces and in Fulton they land a solid experienced cornerback. The Chiefs will need to get younger at defensive back and a perfect draft candidate could be Zy Alexander given the team's success with LSU Defensive Backs.
