Lane Kiffin has officially taken over as the next head football coach at LSU. It took weeks of rumors and speculation, but in the end the Tigers got their man. Kiffin had been candidate No. 1 since Brian Kelly was fired back on October 26, and on Sunday, Kiffin to LSU became official.

Along with getting his coaching staff filled out in Baton Rouge, Kiffin has already been busy on the recruiting trail.
Lane Kiffin expected to flip 4-star WR to LSU
Shortly after the news broke that Kiffin was leaving Ole Miss to go to LSU, 4-star WR Brayden Allen decommitted from Oklahoma. Allen is a Louisiana product, hailing from Lafayette Christian Academy in Lafayette. With that in mind, he quickly became a flip target for Kiffin.
Industry experts are now predicting that Allen will be Baton Rouge bound. Rivals' Steve Wiltfong and Sam Spiegelman have logged expert predictions for LSU to land the talented wideout.

Allen is a 4-star WR who is ranked as the No. 13 player in the state of Louisiana by 247Sports for the 2026 class. He owns a 6'1" 170-pound frame and possesses a dynamic skill set that could fit well at LSU.
247Sports Scouting Analyst Gabe Brooks describes Allen as having "above average functional top-end speed aids big-play threat," and adds that he is "capable of winning throws in traffic with aerial acrobatics."
Also a star in track and field, Allen finished fourth in the triple jump at the Louisiana 4A Region II finals. He also set a season-best triple jump rep of 45-8.25 and ran a 100-meter 11.58.
As it stands, LSU has the No. 12 recruiting class in the country according to 247Sports. Other wide receivers in the class include 4-star Kenny Darby, 4-star Jabari Mack, and 3-star Kervin Johnson Jr - all of whom hail from Louisiana.
As Kiffin continues to hit the recruiting trail hard, it's quite possible that LSU sees more flips head to Baton Rouge in the coming weeks.
