As it stands, LSU's 2027 recruiting class features just two players: 4-star EDGE Jaiden Bryant and 4-star QB Peyton Houston. As Kiffin and his staff continue to look to add to the class, one player catching their attention is 4-star WR Quentin Burrell.

Burrell, a 6'3" 195-pound WR from Chicago, is down to 10 schools. Tiger fans are excited to see that LSU is still in the hunt. In addition to LSU, Burrell's top-10 list includes Missouri, Miami (FL), Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Indiana, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Michigan, and Arizona State.

According to Rivals, Burrell is ranked as the No. 6 wide receiver and the No. 41 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class. 247Sports Composite has him ranked as the No. 9 wide receiver and No. 50 overall player in the country, as well as the No. 2 overall player in the state of Illinois.

Burrell is set to visit every school on his top-10 list this spring. His visit to LSU is slated for April 9. Kiffin and LSU extended an offer to Burrell on January 29, and the Tigers are hoping to make a lasting impression when he visits in April.

As Burrell continues to navigate his decision-making process, Notre Dame is a team to watch as LSU tries to land his services. On3's prediction model has the Fighting Irish heavily favored in Burrell's recruitment, with Missouri and Michigan also among the frontrunners. But Tiger fans have plenty of confidence in Kiffin's ability on the recruiting trail.

Playing for Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, Burrell hauled in 67 catches for 1,139 yards and 16 touchdowns this past season as a junior. In his career, he's racked up 142 catches for 2,396 yards, and holds Mount Carmel's all-time record for receiving touchdowns with 34. Notre Dame appears to be the frontrunner, but LSU cracking the top-10 and having a visit scheduled for the spring certainly bodes well for Kiffin's chances to lure Burrell away from the Fighting Irish.
