No bad blood in Baton Rogue. With things finally warming up with Lane Kiffin's offensive line at LSU post-spring, the 50-year-old wants no drama interfearing with what he's building.

There's no doubt that Kiffin still indulges in a little tone-deaf indirect humor with Ole Miss fans, but he's made it incredibly clear that's exactly where he wants to keep things at: innocent humor.

Pete Golding was the first to call out the ill rumors about his relationship with Kiffin earlier this week. Kiffin, on the other hand, immediately capitalized on the narrative.

"'Let them' make up whatever story lines they want to. One of a million they have," Kiffin tweeted to Golding's video of busting the feud narrative between the two.

Pete Golding unanimously shuts down the narrative with Lane Kiffin

"The good thing about Lane is you get Lane. The bad thing about Lane is you get Lane," Golding said on April 29 at the Regions Tradition Pro-Am in Hoover, Alabama.

"We're good friends and we poke at each other a little bit, but there's no ill intention," Golding added, slamming the door any any bad blood narrative in the near future.

The Ole Miss head coach asserted his genuine appreciation for his predecessor, and wished him the best for the future.

"I hope him success and all that, and appreciative for the opportunity he created for me when I was there and everything else," Golding added. "So there's no bad blood between coach Kiffin and I."

Golding even added how the public tweets are only half of what Kiffin has in store every week for Golding. Fans don't get to see the other half that gets delivered to the Rebels' head coach via text.

Despite the public confessions, the little tweets that push the wrong buttons on Ole Miss and Golding fans have not stopped, but then again, that's classic Kiffin for you.

Or maybe, it's just Kiffin's way of priming Oxford's crowd to make sure the Sep. 19 knockout lands harder.
