The LSU Tigers got their man. After a tumultuous search process that felt like a soap opera for several weeks, Lane Kiffin was officially announced as LSU's next head coach on Sunday night. Kiffin has been in Baton Rouge less than 24 hours, but has already hinted at bringing his star QB from Ole Miss to LSU next season.
Tiger fans thrilled to hear what prized 5-star commit has to say about Lane Kiffin
Trinidad Chambliss has emerged as a star in 2025. The Rebel QB is in the midst of a sensational season after leading Ferris State to a Division II national title last season. Chambliss has thrived in Kiffin's offense in Oxford, and Kiffin took to social media to hint at possibly bringing him to LSU.
Kiffin has once again started posting daily motivational quotes, and Monday's message came with a pair of emojis that have fans talking.
"Exhale. Have the best Monday ever," Kiffin wrote, sharing a Tiger emoji and a Trinidad and Tobago flag emoji. Kiffin has used the Trinidad and Tobago flag in his posts often throughout the season in an obvious nod to his star QB.

Could Trinidad Chambliss be LSU bound?
Given the success of both Kiffin and Chambliss at Ole Miss, it wouldn't be surprising to see Kiffin try to bring his Rebel QB with him to Baton Rouge. Garrett Nussmeier is out of eligibility, and backup Michael Van Buren showed plenty of inconsistencies in his time as LSU's starter down the stretch. It will be interesting to what Chambliss decides to do next season with Kiffin now at LSU.
Chambliss began the season as Ole Miss' backup QB, but an injury to Austin Simmons thrust Chambliss into the starting role back on September 13 against Arkansas, and he's made the most of his opportunity.
Chambliss is 9-1 as the Rebels' starting QB, and is the main reason why Ole Miss orchestrated its first 11-win regular season in program history. On the season, Chambliss has completed 65.5% of his passes for 3,016 yards and 18 touchdowns with just three interceptions. He's also added 470 yards and 4.0 yards per carry with six touchdowns on the ground.
LSU fans remember Chambliss vividly, as he went wild against the Tigers back on September 27 in Oxford. Blake Baker's defense didn't have an answer for Chambliss whatsoever, as he led the Ole Miss offense to 484 total yards, accounting for all but 99 of them. In Ole Miss' 24-19 victory, Chambliss completed 23 of his 39 pass attempts for 314 yards and a touchdown through the air, while also adding 71 yards on 14 carries on the ground. His elusiveness was especially frustrating for LSU, as he would wiggle out of trouble and make a play down the field when the LSU defense thought they were in a strong position to get a stop.
