Could the Lane Kiffin sweepstakes be coming to an end on Sunday? After weeks of rumors and speculation, Kiffin is reportedly set to board the LSU jet bound for Baton Rouge on Sunday afternoon.

LSU fans are absolutely giddy with excitement about the upcoming announcement

Kiffin has been at the top of LSU hoat boards since the minute Brian Kelly was fired, and while fans are still waiting for an official announcement from Kiffin himself, industry experts are reporting that Kiffin is gearing up for the move.

Kiffin reportedly aiming to bring Ole Miss' offensive staff with him to Baton Rouge

According to On3, Kiffin has lined up most of his offensive staff to join him at LSU. On3 reports that the Ole Miss head coach has told his offensive staff members that if they are not on the plane with him, they won't have a spot on his coaching staff at LSU.

LSU has a press conference scheduled for Monday, and it is expected that Kiffin will be introduced as the program's next head coach.

Kiffin has lobbied Ole Miss to let him continue to coach the Rebels in the CFP, but Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter isn't allowing that to happen. According to Brett McMurphy, "Kiffin is 'essentially demanding to finish the season (w/Ole Miss) while simultaneously threatening to poach' Ole Miss’ roster & staff if he can’t."

That's a serious cause for concern for Ole Miss, who is on the verge of competing for a national title in the College Football Playoff. In addition to members of his coaching staff, Kiffin could also be prepared to take Ole Miss players with him as well.

Kiffin was expected to make an announcement regarding his future on Saturday, but he has yet to publicly announce anything himself. But as it stands, the move from Ole Miss to LSU seems to be on the 1-yard line.
