Talks between LSU and Kiffin has advanced over the past few days, with LSU reportedly offering Kiffin a seven-year contract worth approximately $100 million. Now that Florida appears to be out of the mix and pursuing other candidates, LSU fans are feeling good about their chances of landing Kiffin.

On Saturday, Bruce Feldman reported that LSU sources are "very confident" that Kiffin is Baton Rouge bound. "I talked to LSU sources this morning, and they are very confident that Lane Kiffin is going to come to Baton Rouge and accept this job," said Feldman on FOX Big Noon Kickoff on Saturday morning. Those words have Tiger fans fired up, and Kiffin calling a team meeting today could mean that a decision isn't far away.
Kiffin has been LSU's No. 1 target since firing Brian Kelly back on October 26. Kelly left LSU after 3.5 seasons having never led the Tigers to a College Football Playoff appearance after Nick Saban, Les Miles, and Ed Orgeron all delivered national titles before the end of their respective fourth seasons in Baton Rouge.
Kiffin has his Rebels in the hunt for a National Championship this season, as he led Ole Miss to its first-ever 11-win regular season and has them all but locked into a CFP spot. Kiffin wants to finish the season with Ole Miss, which is causing another snag in his announcement being made. Hopefully an official announcement is made soon, and Tiger fans are confident it be consist of Kiffin choosing LSU.
