Lane Kiffin has had a busy first few days as the head coach of the LSU Football program. He i working to move LSU's 2026 recruiting class up in the rankings, and has already flipped three Ole Miss commits to LSU. The Tigers currently sit at No. 12 in the 2026 rankings according to 247Sports, and Kiffin landed a massive win on Wednesday as one of LSU's prized 5-star recruits officially signed with the Tigers.

On Tuesday, it was reported that 5-star DL recruit Richard Anderson was not expected to sign with LSU on Wednesday. His agent stated that Anderson was still "committed" to LSU, but would be waiting to make it official.
After some last minute concern, Anderson has indeed decided to sign with LSU. He made the decision official on Wednesday when he put pen to paper to join the Tigers. It's a massive win for Kiffin as he continues to build his roster for next season.

Richard Anderson gives Lane Kiffin a massive recruiting win
LSU fans can breath a sigh of relief after Anderson's signing on Wednesday. Losing Anderson would have been a colossal loss for Kiffin and the Tigers. But thankfully, LSU's new head coach was able to get the job done and keep the 5-star prospect in Baton Rouge.
Anderson is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 2 player in the state of Louisiana and the top defensive lineman prospect in the country. The 5-star recruit from New Orleans committed to LSU on June 21, 2024, and Tiger fans are smiling now that he has made his commitment official.
Tiger fans will now turn their attention to 5-star recruit Lamar Brown, who has yet to make is commitment official. Brown met with Kiffin on Sunday when Kiffin first arrived in Baton Rouge, and keeping him linked to LSU is Kiffin's top priority.
Brown committed to LSU on July 10, but is expected to hold off on signing with LSU for the time being. With the Early Signing Period open until Friday, Brown will have to wait until February to ink with the program of his choice. LSU fans will be waiting with bater breath hoping that he sticks to his LSU commitment.
