With the Lane Kiffin era in Baton Rouge now officially underway, LSU's new head coach is already making moves on the recruiting trail. Kiffin has now flipped two recruits from Ole Miss to LSU on Tuesday, and more could be on the way.

First, 4-star TE JC Anderson left Ole Miss for LSU. Anderson hails from Mt. Zion, IL, and owns a large 6'6" 240-pound frame. He is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 7 player in Illinois and No. 11 tight end in the country for the 2026 class by the 247Sports Composite.

Kiffin has also flipped 3-star IOL Ryan Miret from Ole Miss to LSU. Miret is from Miami and was initially thought to be joining Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes, but now Kiffin is bringing him to Baton Rouge. Miret owns a large 6'4" 300-pound frame, and is ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the 91 player in the state of Florida.

It's a pivotal first week for Kiffin at LSU, and it's imperative that he keeps improving LSU's 2026 recruiting class. As it stands, LSU has the No. 12 recruiting class in the country according to 247Sports. Kiffin is hard at work trying to improve that ranking in the first few days of his tenure in Baton Rouge.

Anderson and Miret are the first two Ole Miss flips Kiffin now has on board at LSU, and they may not be the last. Kiffin has also been a skilled recruiter in the transfer portal, so Tiger fans can expect several impact transfers to be a part of Kiffin's 2026 roster construction as well.

Along with flipping Rebel commits, Kiffin could also be exploring the possibility of bringing current Ole Miss players to LSU next season. Most notably, QB Trinidad Chambliss is one playmaker to keep an eye on. Chambliss has emerged as a star in Kiffin's offense after winning a Division II national title at Ferris State last season. He torched the Tigers for 285 total yards and back on September 27 in Ole Miss' 24-19 victory.
