While the 2026 college football season doesn't kick off until August, it's never too early to start looking at National Championship odds. Here's how LSU stacks up against other top teams in the country for 2026 National Championship odds.

LSU among the title favorites in 2026

As of 9:00 p.m. ET on Monday, January 19, LSU has odds of +1200 on DraftKings Sportsbook to win the national title next season. That ranks 6th in the country. Ohio State and Indiana shared the top spot with odds of +700, while Notre Dame (+750), Texas (+750), Oregon (+850), and Georgia (+900) are also near the top of National Championship odds board on DraftKings.

LSU entered the 2025 season among the national title favorites. The season did not go as planned and the Tigers ended up with a regular season record of 7-5 and a 3-5 mark in SEC play. However, a lot has changed around the program with Kiffin now at the helm, and he has the Tigers poised for a strong campaign in 2026.

Kiffin has already brought in more than 35 transfers, with the transfer class being headlined by former Arizona State QB Sam Leavitt. Leavitt is among the favorites to win the 2026 Heisman Trophy. More specifically, Leavitt is tied for the 5th-best odds to win the 2026 Heisman on FanDuel Sportsbook with odds of +1300.

Kiffin also retained impact players such as Caden Durham, Harlem Berry, and Whit Weeks, and held on to 5-star prospects Lamar Brown and Richard Anderson. LSU's roster turnover has the Tigers in a good spot, and fans are hoping it leads to a title run in 2026.
