Along with bringing back key returners such as Caden Durham, Harlem Berry, and Whit Weeks, Lane Kiffin has LSU's incoming transfer portal class ranked No. 1 in the country by 247Sports. The incoming reruiting class also features a pair of 5-stars in Lamar Brown and Richard Anderson. While Tiger fans have a lot to be excited about for Kiffin's first season in Baton Rouge, the Tigers still suffered several losses through the portal that sting.
Latest update on 5-star OT Jordan Seaton has LSU fans everywhere guessing
With the portal closing on Friday, LSU has ultimately lost 37 players during the 2-week transfer portal window. Here are 3 players that will bother LSU fans to see wearing something other than the purple and gold next season.
OL Carius Curne to Ole Miss
The LSU offensive line was a major cause for concern in 2025, and new offensive line coach Eric Wolford has his work cut out for him in getting the Tiger O line back on track. A total of 9 Tiger offensive linemen entered the portal, including 4 starters from this past season.
Among those departures is Carius Curne, who has joined the Ole Miss Rebels. Curne is a former 5-star recruit and was ranked as the No. 5 offensive lineman on the market by Saturday Blitz. He came to LSU ranked as the top player in the state of Arkansas and the No. 3 interior offensive lineman in the country for the 2025 class according to 247Sports.
Curne was a strong contributor in his lone season in Baton Rouge as a true freshman, playing 308 offensive snaps across 7 games and making starts and both left and right tackle. With 3 years of eligibility remaining, he has a bright future ahead. Unfortunately for Tiger fans, it won't take place playing for LSU.
WR Kyle Parker to Ohio State
Former LSU WR Kyle Parker has reunited with former LSU wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton at Ohio State. Parker leaves Baton Rouge after 3 seasons, and thanks to redshirting in 2023, will have 2 years of eligibility remaining for the Buckeyes.
Parker's LSU tenure didn't go as planned, but he is coming off his best season of his career. In 2025, he collected 31 catches for 330 yards and 4 touchdowns playing in all 13 games for the Tigers. He missed most of the 2024 season with a torn tricep tendon, so Tiger fans were happy to see his production increase in 2025. Parker ended his LSU career with a career-high 7 catches for 68 yards and a touchdown in the Texas Bowl against Houston.
Parker's role could have potentially increased even more in 2026, but Kiffin utilized the portal to bring in 9 wide receivers, which left Parker's future in Baton Rouge unclear. He figures to be a slot receiver for the Buckeyes, with Jeremiah Smith and Brandon Inniss playing on the outside. In that role, he has the potential to make a steady impact with the Buckeyes in 2026.
OT Tyree Adams to Texas A&M
Another piece of the 2025 offensive line that will be dearly missed in 2026 is Tyree Adams. Adams was the starting left tackle for the Tigers for 8 games this past season, and heads to Texas A&M with 2 years of eligibility remaining.
Adams suffered a right ankle injury against Vanderbilt on October 18, but was a reliable contributor for the Tigers up front. He is a much better pass-blocker than a run blocker, but his strong pass-protection skills were enough to catch the eye of Mike Elko.
Adams was ranked as the No. 9 offensive lineman available in the portal by Saturday Blitz, and his presence will be missed as Kiffin and Wolford aim to revamp the Tiger O line for 2026.
