The LSU Basketball team entered Tuesday Night with a massive chance to pick up a big win over a Power Four opponent and to help the SEC in winning the SEC ACC Challenge as the SEC took a 6-0 lead before LSU even tipped off.

The Tigers got a massive boost as Daimion Collins returned to the lineup after suffering a scary shoulder injury against Pittsburgh.

The Tigers mood quickly became somber as Jalen Reed left the game with an ankle injury as he's been one of LSU's best players thus far. LSU found itself with its patented first half deficit but, LSU quickly worked to trail by just three at halftime and had already won four games after trailing at half.

The LSU Basketball team then started the second half on an 8-0 run as Daimion Collins blocked a shot leading to a Cam Carter three followed by a Vyctorius Miller three, and a layup by Carter quickly giving LSU the lead and drawing a timeout by Florida State. From that point on LSU hit its rhythm and never looked back holding a lead the rest of the way.

While LSU's offense was impressive finding its rhythm in the second half, the defense was outstanding. It seemed like on any given possession Dji Bailey was coming up with a steal or Daimion Collins, Vyctorius Miller, and even Jordan Sears was blocking a shot.

Where would this team be without Jordan Sears as all he does is dominate second halves for LSU, tonight he finished the game with 21 points, 6 rebounds, an assist, and a block while playing solid defense the entire night. Cam Carter has been just as solid for LSU as the other half of the backcourt scoring 26 points with 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and a pair of steals.

The best story for LSU this season has been the play of true freshman Vyctorius Miller who has been LSU's best player off the bench. In this game, Miller scored 15 points with 3 rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a pair of blocks.

The other great story for LSU has been the play of Corey Chest, with Jalen Reed out of the game Matt McMahon needed a big man to step up and Chest answered the call scoring 4 points while grabbing 10 rebounds with some solid defense inside all night.

A massive resume win for LSU

It is still very early in the season but, LSU is now 7-1 on the year with some very impressive victories. This team didn't enter the year with massive expectations but, quickly they're starting to change the narrative around this group. LSU already had resume building wins over Kansas State and UCF but, adding a 10 point win over FSU will be another win that looks great in March.
