The LSU Football team has been red hot on the recruiting trail landing top transfers to suppliment the talent already on the roster. It seems like every day the Tigers are adding an impact player on offense and on defense and its getting hard not to be excited about the potential of the 2025 season.

The LSU Tigers are getting started early on Tuesday as they reel in a commitment from Florida State Wide Receiver Destyn Hill.

Destyn Hill is a New Orleans Native who played his High School football at Edna Karr which has become a Wide Receiver pipeline for LSU with TaRon Francis as the latest signee for LSU. In 2023, Hill caught 6 passes for 87 yards but, he missed the 2024 season with a torn ACL. Hill was expected to be the Seminoles leading Wide Receiver before the injury so LSU is taking a flyer on potential rather than proven production.

In the Transfer Portal, LSU has constantly gone after transfers from Louisiana and when you pair that with the fact that he's at a position of need he instantly became a target for LSU. Hill had LSU as one of his finalists in his initial recruitment where he was the 88th ranked player in the Country according to On3 and prior relationships are the name of the game in the transfer portal.

The last Edna Karr player to transfer to LSU after starting their career elsewhere was Aaron Anderson and that has panned out great for the Tigers.

Does this take LSU out of the Running for Nic Anderson?

The LSU Football team has already landed wide receiver Barion Brown and they now add Destyn Hill to the mix. The question now becomes whether or not this takes LSU out of the running for Oklahoma transfer Nic Anderson. Anderson is a piece that many LSU fans were hoping the Tigers would land as his massive frame is something the wide receiver core is lacking. The Tigers have been battling with Texas A&M for Anderson so we may find out today who won out.
