The LSU Football team has gone out on the transfer portal and has taken whoever they've wanted to. When Brian Kelly declared that LSU would be big players in the transfer portal no one knew whether he meant it or not and if LSU would pursue top of the market players or if they'd add local players returning home like they have in the past.

We've quickly learned our answer as LSU has landed Cornerback Ja'Keem Jackson, Wide Receiver Barion Brown, Tight End Bauer Sharp, Edge Rusher Jimari Butler, Quarterback Michael Van Buren, and now Florida Gators edge rusher Jack Pyburn.

This season, Jack Pyburn totaled 60 tackles, 2 sacks, 5 tackles for a loss, and an interception and comes to LSU with one year of eligibility remaining. The Tigers hosted Pyburn for a visit this weekend and were able to seal the deal beating out Texas A&M who Pyburn also visited.

According to On3, Pyburn was the 13th ranked edge rusher in the transfer portal and the 114th ranked player overall. Pyburn is the second addition from Florida LSU has added this offseason joining Ja'Keem Jackson.

Pyburn instantly becomes a massive piece for LSU in the run game as he's effective setting the edge and keeping contain, something LSU has struggled with over the past few seasons against Quarterbacks. When you watch Jack Pyburn, he stands out as a high motor player that always finds himself around the football while doing the little things such as blowing up pulling guards.

This offseason, LSU had to replace its two top edge rushers as Bradyn Swinson and Sai'Vion Jones are off to the NFL while Da'Shawn Womack who would've been inline for one of their jobs left to transfer to Ole Miss. LSU has now landed Jack Pyburn and Jimari Butler to build out the edge rush room but, we should see LSU push for one more edge with more pass rush upside.
