This Offseason, the LSU Baseball team has received a ton of praise and high honors setting the bar super high as the Tigers get ready to kick off their season. While the LSU Baseball team has been a Top 5 team in College Baseball by nearly every poll, the SEC Coaches may not agree. On Wednesday, the SEC Baseball Coaches Poll was released and the LSU Tigers were not neck and neck with Texas A&M like they have in the National Rankings.

The LSU Baseball team enters the season as the 4th ranked team in the Conference by the Coaches which most of the time would be a massive honor yet, this year it feels way too low for LSU. Baseball America had the Tigers as the 2ndbest team in America, Perfect Game also debuted the Tigers as the 2nd ranked team, and D1 Baseball ranked the Tigers 3rd in America.
The most surprising team appearing ahead of LSU is the Arkansas Razorbacks who have been ranked behind LSU in nearly every poll and in some polls outside of the Top Ten.
The Tigers had three players named to the Preseason All-SEC First Team in First Baseman Jared Jones, Starting Pitcher Kade Anderson, and Pitcher Gavin Guidry. Jared Jones returns as arguably the best first baseman in College Baseball and one of the sports best Power Hitters. Kade Anderson is coming off of a dazzling Freshman season and as he transitions to the rotation full time he should be the leader of LSU's staff. Gavin Guidry returns as one of the best bullpen arms in College Baseball as he should slide into LSU's vacant closer role.
Incoming Transfer Daniel Dickinson was named to the Second-Team transferring in to LSU as one of the best hitters in baseball who will look to continue getting on base ahead of Jared Jones and Steven Milam.
